And that’s a wrap! The RebuildCostASSESSMENT.com Office Games have officially come to an end, with the closing ceremony taking place and our winners crowned victorious!
If you missed it, over the past two weeks, elite athletes from around the office have been going head-to-head in the first-ever RebuildCostASSESSMENT.com Office Games. We’ve seen thrilling competition in events like ‘Rebuild Pong’ and ‘Time for Tape’, all pushing the team to their absolute limits in the hopes of coming out on top.
It all started right here at HQ with our opening ceremony on 26th July:
The Rebuild Pong Challenge got things going with a fantastic effort from all teams. With just 45 seconds to prove their abilities, most teams started strong with a slow and steady approach, favouring accuracy over speed. However, that soon went out the window once time ran down.
With Team Purple off to a strong start, it was still all to play for going into the second event – Chair Curling. This event took things up a notch. Each team only had one attempt, so they had to make it count. The final results were close, proving this competition to be a tough match-up.
Next up, Time for Tape! A slightly unconventional event which had each team struggling to unravel sticky tape in the fastest time. Yes, you read that right.
With half the events now concluded, Team Orange had it all to lose with 307 points at the top of the overall leaderboard, just 3 points ahead of Team Blue. The next event: Bin Ball. This time, the team had just 15 seconds to make their mark. But who came out on top?
For the penultimate round, each team had their technical abilities put to the test with Paper Aeroplane. With no engineering degrees in sight, you can be the judge of their attempts at creating and then throwing paper aeroplanes long distance…
Going into the final round, it looked like Team Pink were sure to hold the top spot and end up as champions of the first-ever Office Games. Could they hold their nerve? I won’t ‘spill the tea’ and ruin it for you… Find out here:
So, there you have it: two weeks, six events, and a lifetime of pride for all those who took part. It was a valiant effort and a true testament to the drive and determination of our team here at RebuildCostASSESSMENT.com. But who has been crowned champion? No prizes for guessing… Oh, wait, there is a prize!
